Press Clippings »

Lok Sabha candidates contesting from NCR region are not bothered for Development and Expansion of Industries and Trades in NCR region. This was stated by Mr. H P Yadav, President of NCR Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gurgaon in a press release issued at Gurgaon.

We all are well aware that Industries and Trades are the backbone of the country. There are large number of Industries where lacs of workforce is employed, it enhances the economy of states and increases the revenue. Industries are the biggest source of employment in private sector.

According to Mr. Yadav through a letter to all the candidates contesting for Lok Sabha from NCR region NCR Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed concern on adverse atmosphere in industrial sector due to increasing labour unrest in southern Haryana. It is leading to the migration of industrial units. It is also causing loss of Crores in the region.

Along with this we also emphasized on extension of Delhi Metro in our region and also availability of Govt transport system within Industrial areas. Chamber had also drawn their attention towards railway network in Mewat and also declaring it as Tax Free Zone on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand.
Apart from this, NCR Chamber had also sought the views of the candidates on opening of more Dispensaries and Hospitals under ESI and facilities of Single Window Clearance system for all approvals / sanctions for starting new business / Industry.

Through the letter we requested the candidates to clarify their stand on needful modifications in Factories Act 1948 and other Labour Laws to ensure peace and harmony in Industrial sectors. But none of the candidates had clarified their stand on these issues. It seems that none of the political parties / candidate are concerned about Industrial sector.

For example, we can take any industrial area of NCR region, where we find that basic amenities are lacking. Problems pertaining to Roads, Drainage facilities, electricity, water etc. always remain as it is there which, needs to be resolved at the earliest.
According to Mr. Yadav, in the above circumstances there is uncertainty among the industrial sector that which political party or candidate will be supportive to them.

With warm regards,

Updation on Property Tax of Municipal Corporation Gurgaon

Dear All,

Most of the industries and residents within the Municipal limit must have received demand notice for payment of property tax from the Gurgaon Municipal Corporation.  As you are aware, the imposition of property tax on industrial units as well as residential buildings is an additional burden on the people as similar charges for common services are already being levied by different Agencies like HSIIDC, Ansal, DLF etc.  Further, this issue of dual charges were repeatedly raised at various levels of meetings with Municipal Corporation Gurgaon.

In this connection, we have to inform you that during the recently held meeting with the Mayor and other Sr. Govt. officials, the Chamber was given an assurance to re examine the issue and consider the matter favourably.

We are sharing some of the news clippings published in news papers lighting the issue, below.

Warm regards

H. P. Yadav
President
